Apparently, there are many folks out there who’d like to read and follow along on the experiment I started 48 days ago. I thought it was going to bore the heck outa people, but what do you know! 🙂
Jokes apart, I’ve added in a new page by the same title as this and I’ve recorded in some stuff that may be useful even to me later on down the road.
Never tell anyone that you’re writing a book, going on a diet, exercising, taking a course, or quitting smoking. They’ll encourage you to death.- Lynn Johnson.
Very true. I told the world aka, the blog that I was dieting and exercising, and it helped like hell!
I told everyone at work, I was working towards a goal, and everytime someone saw me standing innocently next to the candy bowl, they’d watch and wait for me to leave before they did, just to make sure I didn’t sneak in one. The office admin even ordered a salad for me during one occasion when the rest were gouging on pizzas. My daughter would tut-tut me every time she saw me eyeing the ice cream while she served herself a double scoop. She’d remind me that it was nearing 7 pm and I had to move to go to the gym. Husband flooded the house with fruits, and now I hate bananas even more. You guys, you all know what you did. My dance teacher made sure I practiced slowly and pushed me to my limits before I fell down on the floor; she knew dance was really the only aerobic that works for me.
I could go on, but you get the point.
So all of you wanting to bring about a change and aiming for one, spread the word right away. That right there is your motivation, energy and strength. There is no failure absolutely. I said I’d lose 10, I lost 7. Big whoopity-whoo!, like I care, I reached more than halfway, and that is my start. Yeah?
Alright, since I don’t smoke and hence can’t quit smoking, next on the agenda: I am writing a book! 😉
Rads: Take your day by day account and publish it as a diet regime …
On your book… sale of one copy is assured (by yours truly)
aaaah I see you already have.. ooops
Loved the last line.
LOL 🙂
But that’s wonderful how you are sticking to the regimen even after the recital – I’d have gorged myself on huge amounts of sweets and ice cream and what not 🙂 Not that I want to tempt you or anything *wink*
Hope the recital went well. BTW, if you write a book, I’ll buy it !
Priya.
Oh I should take a look at that!
nandini: Take a look at what? my book? :p
Priya: lol, well, I sorta did. yesterday ate some fries and zoomed to heaven and back 🙂 See, am one ahead of you!
Yea, it went well.
You will? really? Yay! 🙂
akilamoni: Thanks 🙂
Vijay: Someone also suggested I do that. Like the bookstores aren’t overflowing already 🙂
But yeah, just for funsakes, would you really buy? 🙂
ok now books is something that I can’t help with.
unless ofcourse its the short murder mystry genre!
Its true..Humanity helps…And people are better than we give them credit for…
COngrats on ur recital and Weight loss,RADS.
You really inspired me.I started my 6 wk regimen last week.
Neither my diet nor exercise are half as sincere as yours but I am glad that I started this.
Jyothy: Thanks a bunch! Small steps. It IS hard to stick to something, just make it into a habit, and then it’s auto-pilot. 🙂
Jira: Yea, I guess so 🙂
Max: So you’re going to help me with exercise then?
If I do, it will so totally be a murder mystery. hehe.
I would… if friends cant help with book sales who else would 😉
Hi. my first time here! Look, even I’ve come up with something similar – http://revsjoiedevivre.wordpress.com/2009/01/13/music-and-weighty-issues/
Although, I’m yet to see any results!
