When I joined B-school, there was a novel demand on the likes of us – say something in class. It used to be called class participation. Most of us had spent our lives keeping quiet. That was the single most important requirement of a student – shut up. In every class, in every gathering, before every guest at home the instruction was “keep quiet”. And here was a dignified – ok, ugly and dignified – professor asking us to say something. This was like asking an alcoholic to sample the booze for free. We went nuts. Initially, there was a semblance of sense to the participation but after a while, most people spoke just because they liked to hear the sound of their own voices. Your post seems to be an invitation for this. I for one am taking it up. Don’t be deleting my comments just because they don’t make sense, because they won’t.

Oh noo…now I feel terrible for having been a lurker! Anyway I guess it’s not too late to tell you I love the way you write I am grappling with the whole work/home balance issue, so can totally relate to your posts. Anuradha
Anuradha: Yay, one lurker dethroned! Thank you for your nice words, commenting and indulging my tantrum.
Naren: This comment has left me all confused. Are you saying am an ugly yet dignified professor yielding a rolling pin like in the picture, and yet not saying it?
Neha: LOL. Between your exams, burdened table, and me, it must be tough eh?
Mystic: Of course dear girl. It’s just me being bored and throwing a tantrum
I’ve gone thru ur old post…Good one If the post is too lengthy or if it appears complicated for me to understand, I’ld postpone reading it and later I totally forget…hmmm, ee sari nundi comments raasthanu
Hey, no, ma’am. I was just indulging in my old vice – reminiscing. The said professor could not be blamed for resembling a fish. Indeed, the uncharitable among us even named him Matsyaavatara. But the guy was instrumental in getting the bunch of us to communicate.
wasn’t reading a year back but here I am this time around to indulge your boredom;)

Pilgrim: Wrong post
