laughter

Laughter.
Reckless, filled with glee and abandon.
Abundance at birth
Downhill with each passing year.

Have you noticed how infants laugh? The toddlers and the pre-teens and the teenagers? They laugh, loud, guttural laughs. Rolling on the floor when permitted, clapping their hands, with absolutely nothing holding them back.
..and then do you see the adults shuffling their feet, laughing politely, covering their mouths, looking at their feet, hesitating to check if it was politically correct to do so or not, and then allowing themselves the reaction within framework?

As amusing as it is, it is sad.

One who can still laugh like a child has a child within.
Next time you see an adult, check for the laughter lines and the crows’ feet.

They can take a joke.

For the rest, laughter has left the building.
