Pooja in the morning at the temple, followed by “peth pooja” at my favorite Madras Cafe! Menu in plain Inglis: three different kinds of rice, sambhar, rasam, a different take on Punjabi kadhi which was absolutely delicious, dosas, idlis, green beans, a veg curry, onion pakoras, a kind of Punjabi choley (oddly enough), and two desserts: a kind of squash halwa and a kheer with vermicelli. Gorged manically and am ready for a nap! Happy Ganesh Chaturthi!

What the *%^&? I am definitely definitely coming. Just keep the oil to a minimum when you cook. And I am allergic to kasa-kasa.

I am going to be extremely nice to Rads from now on.

hmmmm….. u really wanna know. Started my day at 10.30 with a bowl of cereal. Then had chikpeas and orange juice for lunch. Went to football match in d evening and drained down the excitement(we won) with a bottle of beer and chicken. This was my vinayaka chavithi 🙂

SK – hehe, some days I go all out. Prasadam’s always yummy 😉

Baliga – That’s so sad! It was Saturday, Vinyaka Chaturthi, and you’re in good old Chennai. Why weren’t you off in the 1st place?!

Maverick – hehe, the idea is that you enjoyed. Thats all that matters 🙂

Giri – yes, I make one every year. This time Ganesha came out like he was on a diet, ran out of clay to make his tummy larger.

OK – *rubbing hands in glee* now I can up the price! ;-D

Terri – uh-uh, what happened, not that Onion bagels aren’t good food, I like bagels of any sort.. but really?

A muser – Desi restaurants pull out all stops on special days, and in so many ways, that’s just perfect! :))

Archana – lol, the husband would agree on your statement, with special emphasis on “looks” – Apparently I OD’ed the salt 😐

grrr@tag. See, I think Ive exhausted all random facts about me, anymore random and they’d lock me up ;-O

  13. Oh my god! Look at the menu! Did you make all those? How many hands do you have by the way?

Mine went well too. All prasadam and no puja… festivals rock for atheists.

tdna – Did you miss the memo where I claimed I was Durga Ma, complete with 5 pairs of hands? I also borrowed my neighbor’s and my friend’s hands and together we each cooked up a storm.

We all have our priorities right?
