Monday and boy, was I glad to go back to work. Unfortunately, I also remembered that it was the office holiday luncheon. Fortunately however, it was at Bonefish grille. My spirits buoyed a bit.
My vegetarianism always makes for interesting dinner conversations as people tuck into Filet mignon and salmon while I make do with pine nuts and greens that could not fill a bird’s stomach. I got placed square in front of the CEO and well, between my diet, mumbai, his trips to Italy, and Europe’s superior quality of fruits, and the January 20th inaugural, I survived the luncheon without feeling too sorry for myself.
So my foods you ask?

Stopped at the library on the way, and picked up a few books. A few recommendations and then found Meera Nair on the table, so picked that up as well. I read her first short story on the bike. 20 minutes to wrap up ‘Video’ – it’s actually quite nice 🙂
Went to the gym after and instead of the Monday pool, I stayed upstairs. Biked at level 5 for 20 minutes, covering 2.56 miles. Elliptical at level 2 for 10 minutes for 1.34 miles and I actually sweated!! Yay! Finally!

Tomorrow will be weigh-in, and it will be a miracle if I haven’t added on what I’ve lost. This is one time when one can actually feel sorry that they’ve gotten back that was thought lost. Forever.
